Everythings Looking Up

Now it's my older daughter's turn to serve as a pawn in my little photo blogging game. She's still at the age where she likes when I blog about her (because, why else? she thinks it makes her famous!) so I'll take advantage as long as she'll let me. That's just the kind of mother I am.

First, I offer the standard vacation shot.

Take of picture of me on this rock mom. I climbed up here all by myself. Take a picture of MEEEEE!

I will say, it IS pretty adorable. But seriously, nothing too special, photographically speaking. People, I am far from thinking all of my photographs are above average. But, then I see this next shot and I'm smitten. I love it for so many mommy reasons but since we're talking about photography, I like it in those terms too. Because she's so high up, I had no other choice but to shoot up at her. But you can shoot up like this anytime. Just get lower that the subject. It's a unique perspective that can work under a number of circumstances.

In this shot, it's the background of nothing but sky that makes it feel like magic. My baby looks like she's on top of the world. What a wonderful place to be.

I love how her legs seem to stretch forever, too. Makes it clear how much she is growing.

I love taking shots from lower than my subject. They always come out so interesting.

She looks like she's having a ball!
