My Best Shot at Transcendence

For the last few weeks things have felt a bit out of control around here. With so much running around and juggling (above the norm) it's been hard for me to get my bearings. In other words, I'm all over the map. Summer is great and all but what comes with it is the lack of routine that always has me feeling anchor-less.

This shot of my oldest (a la my lensbaby) embodies those feelings of trying to rise above the chaos while I struggle with balancing all of the elements of life as they are coming at me at what seems like warp speed. Anyone feeling the same way?

What made you decide on Best Shot this week?

Ah, Chaotic summers! I hear ya! :) I hope things balance out for you. Here is my quiet moment, taken out of our chaotic summer.

I chose my shot because J's been sick, a bit crabby and not so smiley in the last few weeks. Now that he's getting better, I've found the baby that I didn't even realize was still in there--the happy one whose smile melts my heart. This picture is of one of his first smiley moments since he started feeling icky.

Beautiful shot of your girl.

I just love my new camera!

It sometimes feels hard to catch your breath in summer~ cramming in as much fun as you can into 2 and a half months! Love the moment you caught! Here is mine: http://www.cafemom.com/photos/view.php?photo_id=1048750&edited=1

Not only was this quite possibly the one quiet moment that I had all week (LAST Sunday evening), it just looks like summer to me.

Her little half smile lets you know she's not just bored, she's bored and devious :) It's a side of her personality that's getting stronger every day!

Amazing how a picture can capture our need to slow down and have order. Mine's along the same lines this week.

I love those close up shots of faces! Young faces have so much life in them, they are just addictive!
My summer is crazy as well, but its the moments when my kids are full of energy that they are SOMETIMES at their best. I love to capture those moments as well.

I love closeup face shots as well! Here are my favorites for the week. The first one tells me to slow down and enjoy life just a bit...

Such a lovely, peaceful shot! It captures transcendence so very well.

Here's mine...sweet Daddy & Daughter picture along with another camera question. :o)

My child isn't even in school or activities yet and I'm STILL feeling the ripple effects of summer chaos from other children in our family.

I picked the photo I did this week because it's literally the only "good" shot I got this week. I need to focus more. (Literally, I need to work on my focus.) :) Here's my link:

Oh, I love close ups like that. So much emotion. Love it!

Here's mine on Flickr. I hope it works, I've never posted from Flickr. Still having blog issues, but should be up and running when I get some time today (naptime!)

Love the LensBaby, too—and a great reason to convince others that the blur was intentional (even if it was not)

:)

Please see a photo I took with my LensBaby at http://www.mikeleonen.com/2007/05/wedding_ring_to.html. The blur was intentional, I swear.

Totally out of control, off the map here. I think my post and shot(s) explain exactly why I chose them...farewell...

Great shot and imagery, Tracey. Summers are always so busy, so it was really nice to just have a weekend to play with the kids and not have to be somewhere. Unfortunately this week will make up for it!

i can totally relate on the lack of routine in the summer. some days are HARD!
My BSM, was really easy to choose today, not at all for their photographic value though. :0)

Summer is while ago here, but here is my offering.

Mine's up! Tracey, I love the simplicity of your shot.
