Monday's Touch of Grain

My oldest daughter has been having a blast with the stealthy little Digital Camera by Discovery Kids. Tis the season I'm sure you've at least considered getting your child a "real camera" if they are anything like my precocious girls who insist on having things that are more grown-up than child like.

So, I just got this kid's camera to review (pop over to Mother May I to get the full scoop) and my daughter is loving it. To tie in with my write up, I am including what I consider her Best Shot for the week. I will admit (because I don't want to deceive you) that I did feel the need to tweak the colors a bit in LIghtroom to get it to how I liked it but you know, that's my prerogative, right?

Grainyme_1_of_1

Yes, it's grainy but if you know anything about me, I dig on grain big time however, not everyone does and so I do touch on ways around the grain in my review.

Got anything snappy to share this week?

So glad you 'dig on grain' cos I am the grain queen!!! :-D This is a lovely shot of you though. Very honest...even with colour tweaks! Looks like your girl is having some fun with that camera. Here's my fun weekend.

My best shot has to do with an impromptu birthday party my daughter put together for her stuffed animals. She's got such a great imagination.

I can't wait until my girl is old enough for her own camera! I like the grain actally. One of mine is a bit grainy, too - but in an arty way!

Yes, my oldest asked Santa for a camera this year! And when the younger one sees it, she's gonna want one.

Lovely shot! I can't wait until my little guy is old enough for a 'real' camera. He loves playing with his toy camera and an old and busted PNS I gave him. One day...

I love the shots taken by the little ones...or well, the older ones... they grow so fast! :)

She did a great job, and I will have to check out that review. I am going to guess that eventually the kiddos will want to have their own cameras.

Here is mine for this week. I took hardly any pictures last week, so I am going to have to scrounge for the rest of the week!

I just downloaded Em's photos from her camera and some of the perspective and captures are so very cool! I love seeing things through their eyes. And that is a great photo of you!

I didn't use any of Em's today - but there are plenty of her, we got in the Christmas spirit this weekend....

Mine's kinda creepy and edited with a watercolor effect. But I'm pretty happy with it anyway.
